A story about my little Discus

Yea i caught that speculation - i don't remember seeing a raw number for the nitrate and i suppose it is possible as discus are particularly sensitive but.... i like the booze explanation better.

My fish are just naturally high on life and don't need stimulant. The nitrate level was around 40ppm, when I went into panic mode it is now zero again

Hum interesting. Also quite interesting that discus actually will assist a wounded fish in the shoal; i wonder what other shoaling fishes have this behavior.

I was really surprised; it was the first time I have ever witnessed this behavior. Maybe it happens more than we think and because we are not tuned in, we don't notice it.
