I've had a good look round, but I'm struggling to find a fish for what I want, someone to fill up the rest of the (proposed) tank.

I want someone likely to dwell near the top, so a mid/upper dweller, of a good size, about 6-10 inches fully grown, and who is peaceful and works in a community. There won't be any fish small enough to fit it's mouth, would be expected to share with Angel Fish, Clown Loaches, Rainbowfish, a Black Ghost Knifefish, a Red Fin Shark, and maybe some others. Still in the planning stage for now so all comments/criticisms welcome.

Looking at a Juwel Rio 400, so it's a tall and long tank, about 5 feet wide.

Any ideas? Have had my eye on maybe Kissing Gouramis?

Cheers.

kissers can get about 12" so might be a bit bigger than you wanted.

but other gourami's could work.

Careful with paradise fish... I had one and it nipped my angelfish to death. :( They are aggresive little buggers. I'd get a Moonlight gourami; they are sooo pretty and graceful!!

Thanks, good suggestions so far!

Liking the look of Three Spot Gouramis. Not likely to attack my other inhabitants or anything? I was thinking maybe having a female, or 2 females. Ive seen blue and gold varieties online, any difference in behaviour? Could I keep one of each?

Ta!
