hi everyone,
i am relativly new to the hobby and i have a request, but first abit about our existing setups
we were given a 200 litre tank a couple of months ago and we thought we would set up a tropical tank, this had its problems with fish deaths etc but we finally ended up with the following currently in two tanks :
clown loachs
albino plecs
dwarf gourami
fighter and mate
rosy tetra
mollies different types
corys
total is approx 20-25 fish. {all currently in a 3' tank in my den until i can transfer most to the revamped tank below}
now i recently started a revamp of my biggest tank and i am fitting it out with a "lit" grotto entered from different tunnels set in a large rock/gravel/sand "moutain" at one end and a dense live planted area at the other end with a open swimming area with bog wood etc inbetween.
i will be running two fluvel 4+ filters and heater, 2 x12" d
airstones and a dinosaur airstone etc with a couple of amber spots set in the substrate to highlight the moutain and the forest. the tank is 48" long x 15" wide x 18" high
but i really want to have some of the more unusual/colourful tropical fish and inverts in this tank so could anyone give me a list of suitable unusual fish/inverts to shop for with the max number of fish/invert of each type?
also my missus wanted to set up a smaller coldwater tank so a recommended of unuseral list of these types would also be appreciated she currently has small zebra danios, some sort of small leapard spotted fish and 2 butterfly plecos total small fish in tank about 8-10 her tank is 36" long x 12" high x 12" wide. running a fluval 3+ filter and no heater it has a gravel/sand floor with a few live plants and decorations with a 12" airstone.
the bug has bitten for us as wespend ages just watch the fish
want to set up a 4th tank for the more aggressive fish like cyclids or angels, black/red tip sharks etc so any suggested fish list for this would be appreciated the 5th tank is 3' x 2' x 2' approx on a cabinet, i will fit this out with mainly rocks and a gravel/sand base with a couple of live plants.
