Hi all...

I was asked for pictures...so here they are!

My current 37.5L/10 gal tank...containing 6 Rummy nose tetra, 2 Cardinal tetra, 3 Zebra long finned danios, 2 Otos & 1 Red Honey Gourami. You can barely see the tetras & danios as they are sooooo fast!!! Just blurs in this picture.

This 10gal will soon contain some Tetraplant complete substrate & dark sand (if I can get it) & a group of Corydoras and one colourful male Betta Splendan.

My new tank was bought in Lidl. Its an 84L/22 gal tank....Got the Jewel Rekord beech cabinet stand from a local lad for free!

Close up....I was going to go for plain black but instead I used a colourful back ground in the end...used Vaseline to stick it on.

I added Tetraplant complete plant substrate...2cm deep.

Then, some black/brown quartz gravel 2-3mm in size...nice and light. Also 2cm deep.

4cm of gravel & substrate...Just making sure! D Yes, I am a perfectionist!)

Three large pieces of pre-soaked bogwood. Lots of hidey places and dark swimming channels in there.

Next comes the equipment...75w heater, VitaTech (Otherwise known as Eheim) 2010 sponge filter & Tetraplant CO² Optimat tube.

Then fill 'er up....to half way.

Added some plants...four Amazon swordplants to the back, a number of Twisted vallis, and some Crypto Coryne dotted about. My Crypto Coryne has sort of plum coloured leaves - its nice.

As the tank looks this morning.

So thats it!!! I'm currently doing a fishless cycle with some household ammonia...and its going well.

Can't wait to add my fish.

Looking good, I love that piece of bogwood, am looking for a large piece myself, not seen one I fancied yet though. Will be crystal clear once you get that external. Well done on the cabinet, that was a piece of luck!!

Yeah, its a grand stand!

I also got my gravel free too.....someone only wanted a small bit for their tank, and gave me the rest!!!

Now, I wonder where I can get a free external filter...ha,ha!
