A Little Advice With Cycling Please

I am at the stage now where my filter is processing 5ppm ammonia in under 24 hours and I am topping up daily but my nitrites are off the chart! Turns purple as soon as I add the 5 drops from my test kit.

Am I on the right track or should I be doing anything differently?

Sounds fine to me m8, as soon as your ammonia starts to process in 12hrs the nitrite should start to follow, my nitrites went for ages then just disapeared literally over night.

So basically you are definitley on track, just make sure your PH doesnt drop and you should be fine

Im sure optimal is high 70's but aslong as it doesnt drop below 6.5 (i think) it should be fine, if for any reason it does drop a water change should bring it straight back up.

Just tested PH now and it matches closest to 7.
