HEY!!!
i have a betta and 3 cherry shrimps
to complete this little family i would like some endlers

and as i am not a total bufoon i thought i would ask a few questions first to avoid any disasters.

soooooo...whats the recomended amount of endlers to keep them happy?
will they nibble the bettas tail?
any issues between endlers and shrimp?

thats it for now,any response would be awesome because i have asked in another of my threads on the betta page but i am not getting much of a response

Hi there welcome. I hope this helps :)

The Endlers Livebearer should be kept in groups of more females than males and is compatible with Beckford Pencilfish, Black Phantom Tetra, Cardinal Tetra, Corydoras Catfish, Croaking Gourami, Dwarf Neon Rainbow, Gardneri Killifish, Glass Catfish, Glass Fish, Glowlight Tetra, Guppy, Harlequin Rasbora, Honey Gourami, Kuhli Loach, Neon Tetra, Pleco (Common), Pristella Tetra, Red Phantom Tetra, Sparkling Gourami, White Cloud,

The Betta (Siamese Fighting) should be kept in groups of a maximum of 1 and is compatible with Bala Shark, Corydoras Catfish, Glass Catfish, GloFish, Molly, Pearl Gourami, Platy, Rainbow Shark, Red Tailed Shark, Swordtail, Three Spot Gourami, Upsidedown Catfish, Zebra Danio,

Oh really? Betta, sharks and danios can get along with each other? I don't think so!

You can keep all male or all female endlers, but if you're going to mix sexes you need to have about 3 females (or more) for every male. I've never seen them attack a betta. Do not choose guppy hybrids with long fins or the betta will chew on their fins.

Another thought on omega's post, there is no way I would ever put one of my endlers in the same tank as a guppy, its a formula for an instant uncontrolled crossbreeding experiment. Many of the other fish listed are also bigger than I would like with the endlers, although they are fast they are also quite small. A common plec has no place in an aquarium small enough to be a typical endler home. The biggest tank I am keeeping endlers in is a 45 although a 55 would be nice for them. A 4 ft long tank is nowhere near big enough for a fish that will grow to over 20 inches long IMO.

i only copied and pasted don't shoot me :hey: ????

i would't put endlers with a betta for the same reason you don't mix betta's with guppies, there colour may be mistaken for another male betta

hmmm so a few mixed opinions

does anybody have any first hand experiance of a endler/betta combo they could relate?

if i get any it wont be for at least 3 weeks so i am just gathering as much info as pos

Bettas with cherry shrimp? the shrimp will be a nice snack for the betta.

its all good so far,all he does is nose dive them occationaly but he hasnt bohered them in the 2 weeks they have been 2gether

I have never put my endlers and bettas together. When I look at how my bettas eat and how small my endler fry are it looks like a bad idea. I actually want endler fry that survive and don't think I would get any if they were housed with a betta.

what about adult endlers,i dont plan on breeding so i will prob get all males

Adults would probably be fine. It depends somewhat on the particular betta's personality. Some are more aggressive than others.
