A Fish Has Died How Long Before Rigamortis Sets In?

done a quick search on net for this but keep coming up with rubbish am trying to estimate the time of the fish's death to see if i can figure out why as nothing obvious to look at

It can set in before a fish is even dead, when a fish starts to look stiff before death.

am just trying to work out why one of my denisons flying foxes that appeared healthy has just died

was wondering how long to guess when but maybe thats not going to be possible

my water parameters are

ph 7.3
ammonia 0
nitrite 0
nitrate >5ppm

only a few months old and no signs of anything when i checked it.

Was the mouth open alot as it can be a sign of something lodged in the throat.
An ulcer or sore in the mouth.
Even gill flukes can cause an open mouth.
