A Few Salty photos

Thank you for the kind comments everyone :*)

The tank size is 4x2x2 with a 36x15x18 sump

Tank = 100 UK gallons (120 US Gallons)
Sump= 35 Uk Gallons ( 42 US gallons)

Total setup = 135 Gallon (162 US Gallons)

Still a long way to go before i am happy with it but the progress its making is very encouraging considering its a totally natural setup, natural sea water and no mechanical filtration at all.

I will sort out some Coral piccy ssoon for you to see ;)

Very nice indeed..... :kewlpics:

I look at marine and hope it is something I will have the patience and experience to try in the future.

.......very impressive.......

OK as promised, here are a few of my Corals.

this is an early photo of my Purple Acropora. As you can see it was a dirty brown but the tips were showing purple and this showed me the potential of this coral under the correct light conditions. ;)

And this is 4 months after being in my tank. Growth is still not good and i thinkits because my magnesium levels are low due to the mangroves :*) However, even if growth is not grat, the colour is very good indeed. The photo doesnt do it justice as the bright lights of the halides tend to flatten the colour of my camera at such close range

This was a dirty brown aacro that i got from a friend of mine. I had no idea what colour this little beaty would go (thats half the fun of sps corals ;) ) but over the last few months its turning a nice green colour!

Unfortunately i broke this coral whilst doing maintenance in the tank and snapped the main stem off. I have now attached the main stem to the live rock and both the stem and base are recovering very well. :D

In real life the green is deeper than this.

Another of my green Acropopras

Not sure what type this is but i think its a montipora. It will turn into a rose petal shape once it begins to grow.

My bubble coral.

And finally my Maze coral

This may well be all i have to offer for a while as i am planning on a new and larger system. I will then start a diray on how its going to be constructed and designed. Not sure where it should go in this forum yet but those who wish to see how a marine tank takes shape from start to finish might find the thread interesting (when i eventually start it  )
