well the Rio 300 was going to be my American cichlid tank but due to unforeseen circumstances its turned in to a mixed tank similar to my 180 what i transfered from...............................

Blue ram

cant remeber the name of these iirc there related to the curviceps family currently have 2 pairs

Tiger plec L134 (little bugger moved as i was taking the pic)

I really like the layout of your rio 300. Your german blue ram has got great colouring too.

Covering afew flat pieces of the rock in riccia would look really nice. Just an idea.

think its a flag cichlid-- aequidens curviceps

i like your tank mate have you thought about adding anymore planted to it?
your ram looks nice and healthy too!
that pleco isn't a tiger pleco though, its a leopard frog peckoltia. doesn't really matter like... you got the number right lol

Thanks for the replys more plants to come havent deicide what yet tho. got to wait till next pay day as the tank,setting up and stocking has cost a small fortune

The blue rams come from my LFS and iirc he get them direct from the breeders in the czech republic

the plec is a L134 and has come from a reliable source theres so many that look like this inc the L002

Edit. hurrm i will have to investigate this a bit more either way its a nice little plec. planet catfish say that l number is a leopard frog peckoltia

The 300 is certainly my favourite. Really nice and the fish must love it.

oh yes the fish love it so much room i had that fern in my 180 and it filled the tank looks about right in the 300

the plec is also known as a imperial tiger plec aswell (well think thats the alt name lol) but could poss be a L15 i think thats the most likely 1 it would be mistaken for but does look like a 134 and wot i can see of it looks really nice really nice tanks by the way
