Dont clean them

I used to turn mine too much for the algae to colonise properly, if you leave them where they get light on them they should go quite green pretty quickly unless the fish eat the stuff off before it can grow

..any other ideas..

Thats it mate, dont clean them . I do have T5 lighting which does help a lot. It goes all on the glass too which is a pain to get off . Thanks saz pics dont really do it justice, im wanting some taller vallis and more fish then it should be finished I think.

I have a feeling my two BNs will prevent me from ever getting this. They graze like crazy
