i was wondering if anyone knew the tank demensions of an AGA 29 gal tank and the 30gal cube from oceanic. im also wondering if either of these would be suitable for a full grown angelfish. your help will be appreciated.

A standard 29 gallon is 30x12x18. Not sure about the 30 gallon. Here is AGAs web page with all of their standard sizes. One thing I saw online lead me to believe that Oceanic was made by AGA so the 30 gallon on the AGA site above may be correct.

thanks. the 30 gal is a cube so i know all the sides would be equal. or at least its suppost to be a cube......
now i just need to know if either of these is suitable for a full grown angel fish.

ok i just worked out that a 29 gal cube would be 20x20x20 so 30 gal would be about and inch or 2 more on each sides correct?

I did just find a site that said that Oceanic was bought a while back (didn't say when) by AGA so they are subdivisions of the same company. As for the difference in the 29 and 30 gallon cubes, it would probably be a minimal difference in dimensions. A 19x19x19 would actually be 29.69 gallons. To give an idea of how a small change makes a big difference, if you change that to 19.5x19.5x19.5 (add 1/2" to each dimension), it changes to 32.09 gallon, adding almost 2.5 gallon. I would say the 30 gallon cube would be right at the 19 square.

My understanding is that 18" is the minimum height for grown angels so I would think they will work.
