Hi!
I was just curious about how people take care of their bettas. And please, let's have no bullying because of people's care.

Alright, the poll is up and running!

Also, the first question refers to the minimum size you keep a betta in.

1/2-1 gallon of water depending on how many fry i get, for larger numbers. With water changes every few days. Otherwise i think the larger the better, but probably no more than a 10 gallon for 1 fish unless your dividing it. My male has a half filled 30 gallon tank to himself, he's a lucky fish, but it's a large tank for one fish.

currently i feed my bettas frozen bloodworms (conditioning them), also feed some live foods, mosquito larvae. I also feed pellets when I didn't breed them, though these ones went right into the conditioning phase.

I try to heat the room, otherwise the female at least is at room temperature, the male has a heater. i just contacted a person and i plan to get a couple small 1 gallon tanks with filters and heaters for the male and female after their spawn. they might even be spoiled and I'll try to split a 10 gallon tank for them if i can get a hold of one. Right now they don't have any filters, but i did add some air hose to the tank to keep it circulating, the female loves to play with the bubbles :D, hopefully they will eventually turn into sponge filters when i get the supplies to DIY.

At the moment they get I'm going to say 75% water changes every 4-5 days. What i do is...Take my bettas out of the tanks, completely empty the females lg critter keeper(3/4-1g), and half of the half filled males tank(30g). Then i refill the males tank with a little more than i took out with fresh water and use the new water in the males tank to fill the females tank.

Oh, I've tried nearly every of those options. My first betta was originally in a 1-gallon bowl!

Now I have three bettas and two are in 5.5 and one is in a 10 gallon with heaters/filters/silk plants.

I tend to always keep my Betta splendens with fish having similar needs. Right now that means that I have a Betta splendens in a tank with my endlers at about 77F, 25C, and a decent but rather low pH and KH.
