90 Litre Tank (50 Gallon)

I have a 90 litre tank laying about doing nothing.

I already have a community aquarium, looking to specialise with this one.

Would 90 litres be enough space for a couple of oscars? if not, what does this board recommend?

im afraid not min for reccomended fpr 2 oscars would be 75g really which is 340 litres . some say 55g but really should be 75 . you could maybe have a pair of dwarf cichlids

Sorry, don't know where I got 50 gallon from, its 19.8 gallons, I am going slowly mad.

90 liters is 23 gallons, 50 is in the neighborhood of 200 liters. If it is a 50 gallon tank and you got the liters wrong, it depends on the dimensions, but at most it would be suitable for one oscar. My standard 55 (48x12x18) isn't really, since a 12+ inch oscar would have difficulty turning around in it, but I have seen a couple different tanks in the same range, including 36x18x18.

Not really a big fan of cichlids to tell you the truth, bit of shame can't be keeping any oscars tho, any more recommendations?

By the calculator, the tank works out to 126 liters. If that's right, maybe a couple convicts? Personality wise, they're basically mini-oscars with a bad attitude. Be prepared for more fry than you can imagine, though.

no offence but could i just make an observation. if you say you are not really a fan of cichlids why do you want oscars which are big cichlids?

No offence taken mate, I am still in the learning stage of this fishkeeping lark, some of my questions may appear strange or dysfunctional, its because im picking it up as I go along!!
