i have got a fully cycled 90 gallon tank with no fish

heres what i would like, please tell me if this is good or bad

is this under or over stocked,

1 - 1 green terror
2- 2 electric blue dempseys
3- 1 tire track eel

will that be ok, if anyone has any suggestions other than an oscar please leave a comment

thanks you in advance for any and all replies

if the dempseys pair then there will be problems, but if you got them all really small and grew them up together the aggression shouldnt be brutal and leave some hiding places for the weaker of the fish

I keep 1 Terror & 2 Jacks together with a Salvini in the same tank, I dont have any aggression problems. The 2 Jacks & Terror all grew up together, only the Salvini was added at a later date when the others were already 5" or so...

However, regardless of how mine behave, its still a good idea to have a spare tank or a LFS willing to take a fish back (just in case).

thanks for all the comments

what could i keep in the 90 gallon

any suggestions?

Just look at my 105 gallon stocking for ideas :)

If you don't want an oscar (btw, i've had him for a little over a day but I can already tell he's my smartest fish), here what I would stock.

A convict, firemouth, some sort of catfish, maby a lace syndontis, and one other cichlid, a jd could work, but with a serverum you would have less agression issues.

1- 1 tire track eel
2- 1 electric blue jack dempsey
3- 1 green sevrum
4- 2 salvani's or 2 fire mouths

OR

1- 1 oscar
2- 2 green sevrums
3- 1 tire track eel

how do either of those sound?

Tire track eel's get too big, sev's would likely fight with the oscar.

I'd say the cichlids in the first option 'may' just work.

Your tank is gonna become "not cycled" if you leave it without ammmoina. Just like my spwaning tanks...that were supposed to have hundreds of angels in there right now...

I have a new 90g too. It now has no fish but it is ready to accept fish TODAY! (3 months mature rena xp3 attached just now, added a bit of ammonia...)

Yesterday I bought 5 very young scalare angels, a variety. I have one huge angel that is about 11months old. Today I will put them in the 90g and see what happens...I do know of people who have done this successfully and not successfully.

I will keep 6 angels in my 90g with a shoal of 6 denisons barbs(Indian flasher barb or red line torpedo barb). I might add a small shoal of corries but I am concerned because my substrate has sharper edges...

Sorry for the jijacking, but what kind of ammonia(brand)did you use? Mine has added stuff(no foam when shaken?)and bacteria won't grow. Ihave had the same test results for a weeks. Zero change.
