7 Gallon Tank, yet Again Unsure What To Put In It

Sorry can't get any live plants except maybe some sort of moss

Why not?

What about stuff like anubias on small pieces of rock or wood? Java fern?

If you don't get live, you'll need to maintain a tight water change schedule and pack it out with silks. I don't think that much stock will work in an under-decorated tank, especially as the gouramis are pretty shy.

I can't have most plants because my substrate is leaves but I do have some bog wood in there I can attach plants to but it dosn't have loads of surface area so i think it could probably have 1 java moss on the bottom ant 1 plant on the top

java fern and java moss can be tied to bogwood. i have about 10 tied to a few bits of bog wood along the back of my 30G

Ok so now I have 4 endlers (all male) and some java fern. You said I couldn't have any corydora except pygmies but I might as well ask, are peppered corys to big for my tank? even if I get rid of the gouramis?

EDIT:almost forgot could someone give me the link to tying plants to wood instructions

thanks :good:

Peppered get to 2" so to big i would say a min of 10G for them. I would superglue the plants thats what ive done alot easier to do and they kept coming untied when i tryed to tie them on.

Ok,sorry to keep bringing this thread up by the way, do you think I could have a breeding tank for endlers as they are very nice fish

DW about it. Thats sounds fine to me but just watch out you dont get over run with fry because unlike guppies they dont eat their own fry.

wouldn't there be alot of in breeding if there is only one male?

A few generations doest matter to much. but every now and again you might have to sell some of the fry and add new adulter to introuduce new blood. That or get something in there that will eat the fry so you dont get loads.

Do any of your LFS stock Endlers? They might be prepared to do a deal with you for the fry, thereby preventing inbreeding and also finding an outlet so you don't get over-run.

yes they stock endlers so I can give them to my lfs,but not all the time as they only really take stock from their supplier.but selling them should work most of the time. And if I get somthing to eat the fry will it eat all of the fry?
