Hi all

I only stocked my 64L tank on Sunday, after cycling it for 4 weeks.

The API master test kit was a good guide - as was this site - in signalling to me that it was fine to introduce fish into the tank.

I now have 2 female platys and 2 female guppies.

I know it's only been since Sunday, but they seem to really be getting on well with each other and enjoying the tank.

The plan was to place 2 males, a guppy that I will buy this Sunday and platy (that's already in my 20L tank), into the 64L one....but I'm now thinking the females might get really stressed.

Obviously, I knew from the start that fry will happen because of the plan. I have read that the dominant female guppy might turn male after a space of time....so maybe I'm worrying for nothing and sound just introduce the males.

Apologies if I'm sounding like a worried father :) Just want what is best for the fish !!

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Last time I checked only Wrasse can change their gender
I think honestly you'd be fine sticking those 2 fish in. you will need to prepare for babies however..... :hey:

Oh right, I read it a few times on the net that one of the few guppies might ! So much for Google :)

I think the LFS is going to get a few more quid from me re : baby equipment ! Floating plants a must I think !!
