6 Gallon Tank

Eclipse 6 gallon tank with 2 Amazon Sword plants.

Currently has 1 Betta and 1 Otocinclus.

Can I add 4 ghost shrimp safely?

Bettas all have very different temperments. Most people have had no problems with putting shrimp in with them but it really depends on the betta.

Some people have added shrimps to a betta and been ok, some end up as dinner! Very much depends on your betta and if he will tollerate them? Unfortunately there is no easy way to find that out without trying it.

I'm more wondering about if there's enough room in the tank. So far my Betta has been pretty peaceful with tank mates.

maybe add 1 "bushier" plant...something for the shrimp to really hide in?? only if you have a problem

Shrimp add almost nothing to the bio load so as far as stocking limits are concerned, you would be fine.

I guess the shrimp are too small. My betta never bothered the Otto or a Siamese Algae Eater but he killed those shrimp pretty quick. He grabbed one, shook it like a dog, chomped a couple times and that was it for the shrimp. I feel bad.

Yup I did. I thought he got all of them but one by one I found the other 3 so he only killed one.
