Hi all,

I bought a 55 Gallon Hex tank off craigslist about two months ago and currently have the following fish:

2 Danios = 3 Inch
1 Male Guppie - 2 Inch
2 Platies Max Size = 2 Inch
2 Serpae Tetras Max Size: 2 Inch
3 cory albinos - Max Size = 2 Inch

I would like to add four more angelfish to complete my tank, but I just wanted to get your thoughts!

It depends on the dimensions of the tank more than the volume. My guess is you probably wouldn't even be able to one purely because of the shape of the tank. What are the dimensions?

If I remember correctly, a 55 hex is quite tall and is over 2 feet across. While angels do require a tall tank compared to many fish, I believe your tank would likely work with them. The only thing that you must be careful with is that a breeding pair of angels can be very territorial and the tank will not be big enough for the un-mated angels to escape the aggression easily.

I second that, if you get a "pair" there's no way the tank will be big enough, I bought 6 angels for a 5ft tank and when the pair I have decide to spawn the other 4 don't get even half way across the tank before being chased back...
