Ok so I'v been debating what to do with my 2.5 gallon tank and I'v decided to do an amusement after seeing fknm's golf course. For starters I'm going to have an air operated ferris wheel and maybe something else if I can find it. Not sure on what plants to get, any ideas, currently have anarchis, combomba, and a crypt in the 2.5 gallon.

This probably won't fit into a 2.5, but an image of marimo balls riding a ferris wheel just popped in my mind.

I won't be able to put a lot in it but a ferris wheel that an lfs has will fit I know, lol think I could do that though?

Well the ferris wheel will cost me 12.58$. There's a red and blue one. this is what it looks like I was thinking maybe putting this in the center of the tank, having some anarchis, combomba, or hornwort in the back like a forest or something else suggestions welcomed with some dwarf hairgrass or other smaller tall skinny plant to form a walkway to it in the front and another on the side for an exit with some sort of plants on the front right and left of the tank, haven't dicided yet and maybe some marimo balls on the seats if that would be possibly probably not and maybe some shrimp and a betta.

What do you guys think and suggestion comments?

O thank you very much, I'm pretty sure the measurements of the base are 3" deep by 5" long leaving a fair amount of room in my tank though being slightly but not too crowded. Would it be possible to use co2 and have the bubbles come out of where the air bubles are supposed to go or would you not have enough bubbles?

That being my tank with the front being curved maybe put the ferris wheel in the back left corner like that at an angle like said, then a diagonal path to it with some sort of pebbles or something with smaller plants on the sides of the path and surrounding the ferris wheel and taller plants in the back left corner to hid heater and filter. What small bushy and grassy plants could I use. I haven't seen java moss for sale though maybe if I ask nicely a petstore will sell me some of theres in a display tank :D .

Don't mind the a's that's just to fill the space so it stays like that, it's the dotted lines to worry about hope you can understand it.

I would avoid hair grass, its notoriously difficult to grow and demands lots of light and a good substrate.

Ok I'm going to work on getting a 5.5 and ditching the 2.5 gallon if I can sell it though that's the problem.

Would it be better to use eco-complete or that other special substrate or just regular pea gravel?

Any ideas for carpeting plants for grass or small bushy plants for the bushes with conditions as 10w cp flurescent bulb, weekly dose of flora pride by tetra, and must not forget the air bubbles powering the ferris wheel :dunno:

You should try to look around for some kind of plastic gates for the front of the "amusement park" maybe some moss balls down a path to the gates to act as bushes. Keep trying to look for some cool ride type stuff that would be aquarium safe. :good:

Yup I am, I'm trying to get a 5.5 instead so I can put more in it and I'm just collecting the supplies now and around asking for some for x-mass and using some money from x-mas for it too.

Would a 10w cp fluescent bulb be enough lighting over a 5.5 gallon tank giving me almost 2wpg or should I try to get bettter lighting even though I won't be able to use co2 because of the air bubbles. Still looking and thinking of ideas to make it look amusement like so it'l be awhile till I have it setup. My mom already ok'd the 5.5 so that's good, I just have to sell my 2.5 now to get the money for a 5.5 hood and tank. 5.5=28$

I still think my idea of marimos on a ferris wheel is hilarious. Or maybe you could silicone some lego people or mini-fish figurines onto the seat.

As for lighting, I hear that all smaller tanks would need higher lighting and the wpg conception would be useless. I'm sure someone else could elaborate on that. Though the anarchis, combomba, and crypt you have wouldn't need much light anyways.

I know that about the wpg but I'm not sure if it can work on the 5.5 or if that's still too small. Yes I like the marimo balls too just got to go to the store that sells them. My parents said they would take me out to the larger fish stores at x-mass time so I hope to find some more stuff then and hopefully the 2.5 gallon tank will fall through and the person will buy it. Anybody know about the lighting though?

this site has just about everything you would need

Can you buy them at all, I don't see where you could buy anything or is it just inspiration? I think I'm going to a craft store to buy small plastic people or fences that are meant for trains.
