4g Planted Tank

Alright i was driving home and i came across this small tank so i grabbed it for free.

i measured it up and its roughly 4US gallons and im gonna have fun planting it

but before i even start i really wanna plan it out perfectly unlike my other tanks were i planned as i went along.

i have a 28w flourescent, i think this will be alright to make any plant thrive right?

im not sure what im gonna do but all im asking is if you guys know any nice galleries/websites that i can look at smaller tanks,nano's and the such.

not sure about websites or whatever, but what do you have in your 90g?

the 28 w will be alright lol, 7 wpg (I know it's old but it sounds good)

in my 90g i have piranha and 160watts.

alright i was thinking for stocking.

1 threadfin rainbowfish and some cherry shrimp

OR

2-3 lyretail guppies and some cherry shrimp

OR

cherry shrimp and a few otto's to help clean up.

OR

a few endlers and some cherry shrimp

i know the fish will eat the cherry shrimp babies but thats not biggy

what about some tetras, or rasboras, they both go well in a planted tank, especially when they are in shoals

just out of interest where did you actually find this tank lol, by the side of the road or what?

Nice Piranhas blackfin, glad to see more and more people on TFF getting into piranhas. One thing that concerns me though, from the pic I thought I counted 9 RBP's. In a 90 US gallon tank 5 Reds is maximum.

lol, yah i have 12 in there, im growing them out and once they get too big ill sell 7-6.

and does anyone have any links?

and yes, i found this tank on the side of the road.

its been sitting outside overnight, no leaks, im gonna go get it now.

Alright heres the 4g tank, its rectangular.





as you can see above it theres a desk style lamp and im gonna use that for lighting. is it alright if its that far away from the tank? 12 inches around.

and i wanna put some glosso, dwarf hairgrass and golden moneywort in the back and not sure what else. Oh and once everything will be sttled and established i wanna put frog bit to cover the top. you think it will suffice?

Question: this is a small tank so i can pretty much splurge and get any subtrate. what do you think would be the best? i know i can get flourite but not sure about anything else since i never really payed attention to it.

ill be using an aquaclear mini and no heater since my house is hot enough...hopefully. B)

i dont wanna go to a lfs worker and just ask for ada...that'd be kinda silly

anyone got an idea? i didnt end up going since i didnt know what to get, but i have the oppurtunity again tonight

also for the first little while im not going to have fish so can i blast my c02 to like 60ppm and it will make the plants grow even faster?
