Looks really good with that background. I had the 64 litre version for a while but could never get it to look as good as I wanted it to. I think having the external filter makes a big difference in that respect. Is it still going to be for fry or are there some new stocking plans?

I agree about the external filter, I also "robbed" the external heater from the main tank, it's sitting at the back, as for stocking I'm really stuck. I will probably put the fry in, would really like to add a couple of shells and put the parents in and give them peace to do what they do, the fry could go in the main tank, I don't think the 2 Multifasciatus would mind the new arrivals but I have an extra male Sumbu that wouldn't be happy, maybe time to rehome the Muties and the odd Sumbu to make space

looking good i also like the background
also like the sand were did you get it
and what type is it looks sweet :good:

The sand is Caribsea Cichlid Sand, got it from Warehouse Aquatics, I had it ages ago in my main tank, still don't know to this day why I changed it :good:

i have seen it when i have
been out and about you never
really going to know how its
going to look in a tank but
that looks real neat

Cheers, yeah I'm really pleased with the sand, the background is starting to grow on me, wasn't sure how it would look, £13.65, £3.99 for the small bag of rocks, so not to sore on the wallet

Have all the Sumbu Dwarf fry been sold then? One buyer or several?

Nice new layout, multi colour grain sand does look great!

Cheers for the comments, all the fry are back in this tank, had them in the main tank in a breeding net while setting this one up, they are realy slow growers, one interesting thing is that they are "crawling" up the nooks and crannies in the background, everytime I lean over to record it they dive up to the front glass to see what I'm doing
