looking fab, maybe you should fill the tank a littlmore tho thats an awful lot of litres going empty

also, i noticed your electrics :/ you need a drip loop in there, maybe you will get that by fixing the extention box to the wall, you literally need a loop, so place the box where its high enough to form a loop on all cables, this stops any leaks from air pumps, filters etc getting to the plugs.( and it does happen)

maybe some more gravel, or sand and some terrocotta plant pots, ciclids like to hide, especially the small ones, what abour rocks.. a lot of chiclid tanks that ive seen have high rock structures in them, the fish love swimming through the spaces and hiding

im not sure on compatibility so cant help with that one, im sure you know more than me :)

but over all looking great, are you pleased with it? anything youd like to change or wish you hadnt done, and whats your fave bit?

Abit brain dead - What are the name of them yellow fish? And what tempreture do they need?

they are labidochromis caeruleus (yellow labs)

Nice looking tank man!

Looks like you got that new canister filer up and running nicely!

How is the new filter running?

I would add a little more decor, but you are just starting out, so I think you are off to a very good start!

Well done!

It will be nice once the fish-in cycle is done; no more water changes....

thanks and yes the new filter is running nicely, havent have a prob at all

and no decor untill i finish my fish-in cycle, its bad enough the fish rearrange the tank but setting up rocks, etc

and using the gravel syphon i dont want it all to fall down, i eventually plan on building little rock cavesall around but

thats not for a while yet

Not a well stocked tank at all im afraid, you have Malawis with non Malawis, both sets of fish required totally different water setups.
