40g Cichlid Tank

i can see a problem

i am looking to do a cichlid tank at the mo and they recomend jack dempsey's on their own in a 50g tank and a pair larger than 70g


also they can be notorious for being trouble when it comes to other not so agressive fish like the yellow labs which is really a peaceful fish

Yes.
But Labs shouldn't be kept with Jack Ds because the Labs are from Africa whilst the Jack Ds are from America. In most case scenarios, Rift lake African Cichlids and American Cichlids shouldn't be mixed.

the 2 jack dempseys died due to stress so ive replaced them with 2 mbamba and 2 bumblebee cichlids
