hi im thinking ov gettin a 400 litre tank and i need help on wat fish to put in growing plants heater and filter
pretty much everythin i need help wiv

400 litre id aim for about 2400+ LPH, but its does really matter on the quality of the filter. 400w Heater.

You could aim for simpler plants like Annubias, Java Fern, Java Moss, posting in the planted section would be your best bet for plants suggestions.

Stocking wise, theres good and bad news. Good is you can get quite a selection of fish in a 400 litre, Bad is theres LOTS to choose from and decifer . You could go New World Cichlids (Oscars, JD's, Jags, FM etc), you could do a Malawi set up (Fish from Lake Malawi, very colorful), Oddballs such as Bichirs etc. Best thing you can do is tell us what you like and work around that.

Little fish, tons of them. Tetras, rasboras, cories, guppies, platys, gouramis, etc.

i hav in my 60 litre tank at the mo
2 clown loaches
2 albino tiger barbs
4 platies
8 cardinal tetra
4 harlequin rasbora
4 black neons

i have to transfer all of them into the 400 litre or take them back 2 the lfs.
i was thinking ov adding to the tetra,neons and harlequins
keep the loaches add to the tiger barbs
how many is a good number to add or should i giv some back
i would like a shark in it and mayb some gouramis and oscars
wat other fish get fairly big and could go in there

I would only move the Loaches into the new tank as oscars will have the others for Dinner.

If you want a fat oscar you can, Oscars are not really that agressive imo just if anything fits in their mouth IT WILL be going in their mouth. You could try Congo Tetra, Tiger Barbs and bigger shoaling fish but I wouldnt put any money on your oscar not eating them when he is grown. Silver Dollars work well and are great ditherfish.
