40 gallon tank - tiger barb stocking

Hello,

I'm restocking my 40 gallon and at the moment it has no fish in it. I want to stock it will all tiger barbs and i'm just wondering how many should I get?

At the moment the tank is running two Aquaclear 50 filters.

This will be a nice display. You could get a group of 15 Tiger Barbs. There will be no other upper fish obviously, so I wold even go up to 20, but a group of 15 would be my minimum.

Substrate fish can work, if you want something else. Or you could go with an authentic TB habitat with sand, chunks of wood, dried leaves, floating plants.
