just clearing out the loft, getting rid of a couple of tanks i used to house my snake as he got bigger. unfortunately the 3 foot tank has a big crack in the base, but ive got an 18Lx10Wx12H 35L (9G) tank. it is only the glass, no lid or anything. its currently in the garden full of water for the first time in at least 20 years, seeing if it leaks.
first question is - whats the cheapest way to lid, light and filter this tank ? i might look for a tiny external filter if i can find one.
im sure theres something i could put in it, and my fallback option are shrimp, but id like to be able to move some fish out of my main tank if i can, as its overstocked. unfortunately most are probably too big.
of the fish in my tank that may be suitable, and that i want to move, i have a small clown plec, a bolivian ram, 4 aggassizi cories, a 3 inch syno (fully grown) and 5 cherry barbs. the clown can be moved back over when it gets bigger obviously. i also have a 4-5 inch syno id really like to take out of my main tank, but i suspect this may be too big. id rather have that in the smaller tank than the 3 inch syno.
also are synos and rams totally incompatible with shrimp ?
