3500+ Litre Pond

ok i got a machine to dig this monster of a pond (more of a dam) and now i want to stock it with something, but i would love to put quite the number of fish into it, the fish have to be big and also be able to be fed pellets etc. i was thinking salmon tail catfish or koi but would it be possible to mix both? i do live in australia so there is a limit to what i can legally get. but what is your opinion?

what is the weather like in your part of australia? can you have a tropical pond with oscars/arowana/large catfish etc?
maybe cooler temps could have texas cichlids etc,or what about a bio of your local area?

weather is generally warm but in winter it gets around 15 degrees during the day max and around 2 degrees at night and repeats for about 2 months. theres a few birds im worried about, butcher birds, magpies (australian) and even the occasional kite or sea eagle, if i am getting anything it will have to stay out there because i dont have anything sized to keep them in for 2 months during winter

3,500 litres?

if that right its not big at all its about 770 gallons (not tryng to put a downer on it). It would hold a max of 3 Koi with good filters (even with this rule the pond probably wont be deep enough for them).

would probably be best to stay with common goldfish in that size pond

sorry... i dont really know how much it holds but measured it today, hard to measure exactly how big it is but its 3 m across at the thinnest part andn 4 m across the center and 1.5 m deep
