35 Gallon Stocking Idea

Hello,
I am currently in the process of cycling my 30"x12"x22.5" tank. Since that leaves me staring at a blank tank for most of the day, I've had the chance to think of a possible community. Please let me know if you think this will be a viable mix, and if you have any suggestions as far as filling each water level better, or having more colorful, active fish, do tell!

1 Bristlenose Pleco
1 Bolivian Ram
8 Cherry Barbs
12 Neon Tetras

It's a good plan, but I would have a pair of Apistogramma instead of Bolivian rams.. I feel they do best in 4 ft, although can survive in 3 ft tank.
