30l Biorbs

is there any shrimps that can live in coldwater tanks its anout 16c in the winter and about 20c in summer it was 22c today
and what plants would do well at that temp

all shrimp are originally coldwater apparently

I think Cherry shrimp would probably be your best bet . Most basic plants will do fine in that temp. Elodia is a good one, but will need trimming once it gets too long ( you just pinch off the tops ) Java moss is good, the shrimp will like to pick through that for bits of food and so on. Moss balls are also great.

I think their systems do slow down in cooler water, but in the summer and warm weather, they may breed.

You can get heaters for Biorbs though surely?

yh its just my mum wont let me she says the bill alredy costs enough

Just tell her a heater uses about the same amount of electricity as a 40 watt bulb.

the main problem you will have with the biorb is actually the plants growing, due to the low light levels that come with the tank, and the fact you cant use a nutritious substrate i find that the plants need replacing every 8 weeks to be honest my 15l baby biorb was the worst thing i have ever brought..

i didnt buy it my mum did and it gets some sun light in the morning but not enough to couse algea i had a few plants in there before and they grew fine

thats good then, i had some eloda in there and for a few months we moved it into the kitchen with sun light, (this was just after winter, we didnt think the light would be a problem) and it grew lovely, but then got algae

No most shrimp are actually sub-tropical cherries for example originate from taiwan which has a temperate to tropical climate averaging 15-24C (winter-summer)
