To cut a long story short I had 3 baby angels in a cycled and set-up 60L upright rectangular Biorb. I also had a black tailed shark and one ram as well as a predator fish (that looks like a pencil fish – my ignorance on names, my son chose it and the garden centre staff failed to provide proper advise regarding mixing fish).
After about a month the angels disappeared and the predator fish (white, with yellow fins) had a big black lined grin on its face.
We likes the angels and have returned the predator fish (which was about 2.5” long by now) and bought 3 angle fish as replacement. The angles are about 3” long and 5” tall.
I know angels need about 8-10 gallons a pair, but so far they seem happy enough and eating properly. Any advise on how often to water change and ensure they remain happy?
In addition to the 3 angles there is a small (2” red tail shark, 1” upsidedown catfish and a single Bolivian ram 2”). Can I add some schooling fish (that won’t get eaten i.e. harlequins?
