Hello!

I'm now taking care of a 29gal aquarium with 1 Tiger Barb and 2 bronze Cory catfish. I want to add more fish to the aquarium
but I don't know exactly what type of fish to add with them and how many...if someone could give me some advice I'll appreciate it.
Thank You.

well tiger barbs are known to nip fins so i would aviod fish with nice fins or tails

Tiger barbs will nip most fish (even kill them) if they're not in a large enough shoal. You need a group of between 8 and 10 if they're not to harrass any other fish you want to add (no angels, gouramis or guppies though, even if you have dozens of tigers!).

Based on the replies, I'm thinking of adding 7 tiger barbs and 4 corydoras, am I overstocking my 29gal aquarium?
Because I was also thinking of adding like 6 green barbs.

No, that would be fine; just stock gradually :good:

Hi that sounds more than fine.

Green Barbs are the same species as Tiger Barbs and will school together :) I would up your numbers of Cories as well without a doubt. Again with Bronze Cories you have a choice - Albino Cories are the same species so you can mix the colour variations if you like.

As a starting point lets say

8 Tiger Barbs - mix of regular and green
10 Bronze Cories - mix of regular and albino (you you like them)

Then you could look at adding in a feature fish like some kind of Gourami or maybe a South/Central American Cichlid of some kind - dont be afraid of Cichlids they are a really varied group of fish and some are more timid than your existing fish!

I would be tempted to do a group of Apistos which are a nice dwarf cichlid - I would go for either Dwarf Panda Cichlids or Cockatoo Cichlids which ever you prefer - though there are tons more options :)
