Some of the baby Duncan heads literally doubled in size overnight, because I spot fed the 3 big heads whole mysis. I usually only spot feed once a week, but I’m going to start doing it every other day. (Just for the LPS. The anemone will get spot fed once a week)

You may have said in your thread and I just missed it, but are all these coral from Petropolis? I've only been a couple times, but it seems like he didn't have many coral every time I went, and what he did have was big colonies. I need to make a trip out there again. Road trip!

@PheonixKingZ. Would you say caring for saltwater is relatively easy?

By the way, your aquarium is absolutely gorgeous... Ive been watching this thread and seeing all the progress and I envy it (in a good way).... Your fish look super healthy and your coral seems to be flourishing!

Oh no, definitely not. I’ve got the majority of them from online venders. Most of them came from Pieces of The Ocean, and some came from Joe Knows Reefs. The best pieces have come from POTO, so I would definitely recommend.

I got the 2 ricordeas and the big paly colony from PETropilis however.

but it seems like he didn't have many coral every time I went,
Yes, that’s one of the downsides of buying from him. His big colony’s are healthy, but his $30 frags really aren’t worth it.

It’s all subjective IMHO. It all depends on how much you care for and how much time you are willing to put into the tank. It’s much more expensive than freshwater, more work, and much more time consuming.

:)

Recap:
  • Golden goose zoas need to be moved on a hard surface so they can spread more evenly. (Thoughts on this? They seems to be growing just fine now, so I don’t want to have to move them and put them in new flow)
  • Cin palys still not happy
  • Torch is doing better
  • Duncan’s baby heads are starting to extend more, and all of them have about finger sized stems now
  • BTA duo still good
