is it possible to put the ferts into a net and have it in the water or will it have to be spread out.

Unless using "root tabs" or similar (designed to be shoved into the substrate to feed roots) all ferts are usually dissolved into the water. I use TPN+ which is liquid. Others use salts that I assume they put in the water to dissolve.

What would be the benefit of putting ferts into a net? Even if they were dry ferts they would pretty quickly break down and no longer be in the net!!!
