Perhaps the worse they look to us, the better the fish will like them.

Always be very sparing of bloodworm use, both because to much can be too rich for the fish and also because of the excess protein it can put into the tank. Can't tell you how much is too much, you'll just have to start low and decide.

your batch is fine. I use tetra delecia to feed my ADF, and they come out in lumps, kinda gungy, smelly etc... but having had a few packets they are all the same!! your packet is fine!

what are you feeding?

If it is a betta or an ADF, try snipping the top of the packet 3/4 of the way off, place your hand in the water (if its for a frog, this should be done literally, infront of their faces so they can smell the food, and also stop other greedy fish trying to eat his bloodworms!) and gently squeeze making sure they eat as much as they can do in two mins.

If its for a fish, you can just empty 1/2 the packet in the water, again making sure that they eat all they can in two minutes. I have seen some people hand feed a betta straight from the packet!!!!!

haha, where are you based, I may take them haha

Im not too sure what you should feed guppies as a treat as I dont keep them, but by the sounds of things, if they love the Hikari micro pellets, just use those. Perhaps look into what Human food they can eat and try that as a treat?? (it would have to be boiled to a soft almost mush type food)

I tend to feed my fish every two days, and I never give them any more then they can eat within a three-four minute period, or they will eat everything and end up fat and unhealthy, and even then, I only feed them a very small pinch at a time and when that has gone, ill give them another pinch...this way you keep the wastage down, and the ammonia (as the uneaten food rots, it creates ammonia which can kill your fish), so its important that you remove any uneaten food (especially bloodworms!). This method also means you save a bit of money as you're not wasting any food, your packet will last longer!!!!
