29 Gallon Stocking

I am interested in stocking a 29 gallon tank with some cichlids and am looking for some advice/opinions... Some that I have read might be OK and I found interesting would be: Agazi's dwarf as well as other dwarfs, rams, cockatoo, keyhole, panda dwarf, firemouth(I think this may not work?) rainbow - I don't think I would want to do convicts as it seems this is the only pair I could have in my size tank...
One of my concerns with the dwarfs is that my ph is 7.6 with drift wood... how woul I lower it safely for these or would I not have to? Thanks for your time and help!!
