I am going to do a makeover on my 29 gallon tank. I am going to go south american fish. Here is a list of the fish I want to put in. I am just wanting to know your opinions on this set-up.

4-Angel fish (I am going to keep a pair out of the 4)
4-Bolivian Rams (I am going to keep 1 pair out of the 4)
6-Peppered Cory's
12-Neon Tetra's
2-Bristle nose pleco

Just give me your opinion on this set up.

Thanks

I would forget the neons, when the angels get bigger they will become angel food. One bristlenose should be plenty. The angels will be able to keep the plec away from any eggs, the rams might have a tough time with that.

Other than that, sounds like a plan.

Hi mate,

sorry to be a party pooper, but what if you dont get the desired "pairs" you after? Going to still take x2 of each back or keep them all?

Was just curious

My thoughts exactly and couldn't have said it any better

I am going to take them back to 2 even if I don't get the pairs.

With 4 fish you have an 87.5% chance of getting a pair. I like to start with 6 angels in a future pairing/breeding setup, it puts the percentages into the 90's.
