Yes, sometimes I notice a sort of film on the water surface because of less surface agitation. How can I avoid this?

I get a very fine film, you only notice it when the fish touch the surface whilst feeding. I've read somewhere it's related to the fertilisers and is some byproduct of bi-valent iron (I think???) It's harmless nonetheless.

I think I said there was virtually no surface movement. It's negligable but there is some if you look close enough, you can see it best when the formed oxygen bubbles float around the surface real slow, looks almost like a star field!!
