Apologies for sometimes being a grump about the fish less cycling process - finally complete after nearly 9 weeks. Now I'd be very grateful for peoples' experience on stocking it.

I've moved 4 zebra danios from my first 64L tank and they are loving the room. Should I increase the shoal to say 8? I'm definitely going to have some angels (small to begin). Will the danios be nippy with their trailing fins?

Will you not need to continue adding ammonia if you aren't stocking straight away? I'm no expert but I would have thought that the bacteria will die down a bit if you don't feed them any ammonia. Obviously wouldn't be doing this with any fish in :D

The fish are in so shouldn't need to worry about ammonia now that they're 'weeing' in the water. Checked levels this afternoon and both ammonia and nitrites perfect! Thanks for the concern though.

That is an nice big tank for your zebras. Mine seem to always be breeding but I never see fry because they eat all of the eggs. They are egg scatterers so unless the eggs can fall between things and out of reach of the adults, no fry are ever hatched. I have never noticed my zebras being especially nippy at all. I find them delightful, if a bit too zippy, in a community tank.
