Hi all I'm in need of 2 new T5 bulbs for my 60cm unit (24w). I'm after a decent pair that will be excellent for both plant growth and showing the fish/plants off.

Price isn't to much of an issue really but nothing to expensive.

If anyone could point me in the right direction i'd very much appreciate it

Depends what colours you like (and what colour your fish are). I prefer the brighter whites and have a couple of 10,000K bulbs from iquatics running, they do a tropical bulb as well that's slightly redder.

I've used lampspecs daylight bulbs before, they're slightly yellower and I wouldn't go any lower in Kelvin rating personally.

There's also CP lighting, who do T5's for SAD bulbs that should also be fine.

Otherwise there's a whole pile of bulbs you can get from aquarium suppliers.

Thank you for the reply, the unit came with a red/pink bulb and a white bulb... would 2 whites be ok or would having a red and a white be better?? I really would like the colour to be natural but most importantly excellent for plant growth.

Fish wise a pair of rams.
