theyve fought, theyve flirted, she destroyed half the nest which took him 15 hours to make, he bit her, she sulked, they then wrapped, no eggs again, he sulked and beat her up again, i fell asleep totally shattered, woke up they wrapped, still no eggs then as i was uploading all the pics and vids to put to this thread and have a moan about no eggs she finally released then...............and guess what?..........................they both ate them  but theres hope yet as realized they must be hungry so fed them and now they are back having eggs. but he grabs an egg and then a few seconds later he blows another bubble for the nest. does he add the egg to this new bubble and put it to the nest or would he normally add it to an existing bubble?

anyway heres a vid and some pics for you.

AND THEY ARE STILL EATING THEM

well i left them to it and now 90% of the nest has been destroyed and she obviously finished as no breeding stripes left but the male is now tending to the small amount of bubbles that is left so hopefully there will be some in there

great news m8 you have fun rearing them, but i usualy lost the first couple of batches.

cheers, hes still got them which is great but hes moved them, im deadly serious  ive been out most of the afternoon and evening and looked in the tank where they were and they werent there, thought he must have eaten them, then i noticed that he had built another small nest about 6" away from where these were and the eggs have been moved :look: theres about 25 from what i can see, quite good really as hes moved them to somewhere i can get a great pic from

there looks like theres more than 25 from this pic
hahahahahahaha i never realized that they put their eggs around the bubbles and not actually in them, this ive never seen stated anywhere..............ummmmm feel like a fool now but hey its my first spawn

What a dramatic emotional rollercoaster story that was. I hope things go smooth sailing now. Do you leave both in the aquarium now, or take one out?

the female has gone to her own tank now, she went as soon as her stripes went, the usually thing to do :good: he's moved them yet again, gave them a good rinse, watched to make sure he werent chomping on them but hes doing great
there looks like theres more than 25 from this pic

cheers dmarie, keeping a close eye on him but he seems quite happy pottering around, wish i was as patient as him
