but he is relying on his dad who has no money, and he only has £30 of his own which wouldn't buy him a 55g let alone a 240g.

What if his dad loses his job, or heaven forbid - kicks him out,

or something more pressing comes up? These things happen - and what would Cheesy do then with his fish already in a tank waaaay too small for them?

----------------------------------------Thats just being,well,weird.You don't know the current situaton,my dad has actually been measuring up the door ways etc to see how we will get this tank in the house(and yes it will fit!).The main reason why we are changing to just a few aquariums is because of all the WC's/maintenance and water bills.Im not a 'stupid kid' who doesn't understand the concept of money.

To the few having a go at the one person who replied with a. common sense and b. the fishes needs at mind - think how many times have we had people posting saying "I'm getting a big tank soon!" only for it to a. (like mine) fall through or b. be a figment of their imagination?

---------------------------------Yes he said his tanks were getting green algae on the glass and he needed some plecs to clean it.

----------------------------------This guy has 6x rio 400 and 10 other breeder cichlid aquariums and god knows what else!

My dads going out sometime this week and seeing how many breeze blocks we will need for the stand,we will make it 30 inches high.I plan to have the stand like this.With a thick peice of plywood on top to distribute the weight.This is not to scale Just a a paint drawing---

You have to love cheap efficient stands that do jsut as well as those "fancy", but expensive ones. Hope it all works out for you
