What does everyone make of these first test results? What should I do next before adding the Cichlid fish?

The first thing that struck me is the ammonia reading. Have you added ammonia to the tank, and if so how much and how long ago? What is the nitrite reading? How high is the nitrate level in your tap water?
Without knowing exactly what you have done it is impossible to say what to do next.

But with an ammonia that high it will be a while before you can get fish,

I added ammonia Saturday and did what the recommended dose was for my size of tank I’m guessing I don’t need to add anymore ammonia then

No need to repeat what @essjay has said as it is correct.

But there is no need for you to do the low pH test. The API kit uses separate ranges and you use the most appropriate one for your water conditions. Since your water is basic the low range test will always show 7.6 because that is the highest value it is capable of measuring.

These are the latest test results
