With a new supply of sagiteria natans, and a little inspiration from Amano's tanks imitating the ocean floor, I decided to do some re-scaping using moss covered rocks and a variety of sagiteria plants (though there are some vals and long-leaf cryptocorenes in there).

Wave good-bye to the fish, they're going to be re-housed in bigger tanks a friend owns so I can turn the tank into a shrimp nursery-- the 7g was a bit too small for the job.

Note that the taller sag left of the serpae tetra is actually sagiteria subulata, meaning the foreground ones are much smaller than typical dwarf sag.

Looking very good my friend. I think I know the photo you mean; Nature Aquarium World Book 1; the one where there's loads of Corys swimming across the bottom, they look almost comical!!

Again, nice work.

Yeah! Exactly-- that's the one. Anyway, the look is a bit messed up since there is florite mixed with the coral sand, but not much I can do about it now . . . Amano's tank had e. tenelles in it as well . . . but my dwarf sag are actually smaller and faster growing that tenelles . . . still, you think I should try it?

It might look really cool since e. tenellus has thinner leaves than my dwarf sag-- though it will probably be taller because my plants have leaves only 1" long, and curve over so they're really short. The sag grows great under only 2wpg, and I think the tenellus might get over-run. Ah well, I still want to try it.

I'll have to wait until the tenellus in my 10g grows more, as there are too many rare plants coming in soon to be buying more bread and butter stuff. I recently got a stalk of pogostemon helferi. ;)

Marselia is in, and I'm debating whether to buy some of that, as well as bolbitis . . . a shipment of plants from singapore comes in to the LFs in a week . . . I'm becoming an erratic collector!!

rare/uncommon plants growing in the nano cube right now:
Blyxa japonica
Riccia fluitons var. "mini"
Taiwan Moss
Mini Moss
Erect Moss
Glossostigma elanotoides
Elatine triandra
Monosolium tenerum ("pellia")
Pogostemon helferi

I also have x-mas, singapore, and weeping mosses growing in other tanks, and . . . God, I need a bigger tank. lol

Yet another excellent planted tank. You did a really well designing this one, for it looks inspired by nature indeed. : )
