20 Gallon Centerpiece Fish

I currently have a 20 gallon overfiltered(fluval c4) aquarium with 4x bronze corydoras, 6x neon tetras, 1x spotted(supposedly) rubberlip pleco, 2x amano shrimp, 4x assassin snails light/moderate planting 1x mopani wood, 1x malaysian wood, 3 small rocks. and was wondering what would make a good centerpiece for this tank! Thanks much for opinions!!!

edit: the tank is also being dosed with API aquarium salt

A trio of sparkling gouramis or a pair of Peacock Gobies (male/female) would go nicely
Or a betta. But the neons might nip it.
Badis might go too. Or a Dwarf Gourami.

Salt shouldn't be used with fish like cories. It burns their skin.

thanks for the input i was told to use it by the my lfs.. they use it in all their tanks, and the cories i picked up today had been in the store for a year now raised from fry in the salted water.... so would they not been acclimated? and i though sparkling gouramis would be to large?

Too big? They're barely over an inch long! And they croak

Salt burns all scaleless fish; loaches, cories, plecos, etc. Aquarium salt doesn't really do anything, so it wouldn't hurt to stop using it. Purigen might be a good alternative.

A pearl Gourami is always a nice centre piece fish.

A 20 gallon could also handle one Bolivian Ram. But would not recommend salted.

I would also suggest Sparkling Gourami's I got some today and they are great.

i couldn't find any sparkling gouramis, soi went with a dwarf gourami he gets along with everyone and makes a clicking type sound at and when i go to feed!
