As far as looks go,the top vid with the 2 14k tubes looks better,alot less glare

Yeah top one is better - I have to say though utterly crazy stocking esp when the discus come into it and then mixing angels with tiger barbs I can see a few issues arising from these fish being combined like this.

On a side issue, any chance you could show me how you got your video clips to embed on the forum, pretty please with cherry on top?

I have a youtube and yfrog account setup since starting this hobby and cannot fathom how to show the clips within threads, rather than simply providing an outside link

ihave another discus only tank (ro)

this is normal london tapwater tank.. so i got few young discus there for display.. when they are about 4 to 5 inches.. i will do somthing about it.


angels and tiger barbs? if you have adult angels, u dont have to worry about barbs.. at all.

i thought its bit too bright.. and algae problam in the futer.. and kinda whiteing everithing?

but plants love them.. even in two days of 7 hours of lights ., plants look like reborn..

I have no idea what the scientifics are,but,even though the top one is brighter,the bottom one seems more harsh and giving a bad glare for me

yep.

white- 8am to 3pm

3pm to 6pm no lights.

blue- for 6pm to 9pm

from 9pm moonlighing... baby...
