2 Tanks Safe For Temp Home?

right guys i have a big problem not only is my water super bad but its disgustingly green and before it went green it was milky and cloudy as im in the process of doing a fish in cycle, now heres the thing im upgrade to a 30gal tank but i dont have the filter for it yet, im getting that next week, thinking of a fluval brand!

would it be ok to split the fish between two 10gal tanks? one has been up and running for over 2 months and is cycled, the other will be set up but using my interpet filter (month old now nearly! so full of the good stuff) anyway both will have plants in and will be for the whole time so i can do a fishless cycle! (or add a really hardy fish as ive hear something about ammonia being needed?)

so heres the fish which i need to split up between the tanks, im unsure which ones to split to which tank

1x betta
1x guppy
1x zebra
4x neons
1x plec
2x mollys
1x balloon molly

any help would be brillant as im still pretty new to this but badly need to find this out before doing the change thanks!!

ok do you know which fish would be better in the new 10 gal setup and which fish which would be better in the cycled 10 gal??

In one 10 gallon:
all of the mollies
guppy


In the other:
neons
zebra (I'm assuming you mean a zebra danio?)
betta (I don't know how well this would work out with the betta...)

I suggest rehoming the plec as it will get WAY too big for a 10 gallon. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on any of this

well i know some one who would hold him for me for abit in a massive tank but the 2 tanks are only temp.....

They may be temporary, but he won't like them very much. I say ask that person to hold him for you until you get a bigger tank. He'll be much happier temporarily in a big tank than temporarily in a small tank

yea i did think that he has already gone there, its my X's fish tank lol it a big 3ft thing though so he will be happy there, sad to see him go for so long! anyway transfer is nearly complete just getting the new 10 gal tank sorted and away we go! thanks for all the help guys
