I have 5 golden barbs which seem to fight amongst thereselves is this normal?

Also I have added 4 plants to my tank should I take them out the pots they came in or just push the pots into the gravel ?

its up to you with the plants i think, 99% of people do take them out of the pots and try to separate the plants there could be 2 or 3 in the pot :D be careful around the roots and you should be fine got a pic of the the plants in question :D

with the golden barbs sorry i don't have experience with them, but could t be tank size or numbers?, i.e. tank to small, and not enough of them?

190 litre tanks . Can't post pictures at the minute as using my phone but there name is

Limnophila x 1
Staurogyne x 1
Echinodorus x2

Hey Andy, my Dad has 5 gold barbs and 5 black barbs and yes, they all pretty much fight amongst themselves. Seems to be a dominance thing. I wouldn't worry unless it turns really nasty and they start taking chunks out of each other. It also could be that you have a mixture of males and females and the males are just being males ...

also agreeing about taking the plants out of the pots. I found my crypts where easier to plant out of the pots. I also got rid as much of the stuff they are grown in too. Seems to be some kind of rock wool and I didn't want that in my tank
