2 or 4 fin BN pleco

Hi all - I’ve got 2 BN and one of them has 4 fins and the other only has 2 - is this normal?

Is it a special breed? Maybe it is some weird genetics thing.

It looks exactly like the other one except it lacks the 2nd set of fins - I thought it was a male and female but now I’m not so sure
