2 New Pairsss!

Yay! Soon, my 2 new pairs will be here! I have really, desperately wanted some Plakat pairs for a while now. I think I'll be mostly breeding Plaks from now on, because they are a lot prettier and I like that they have less finnage issues and are healthier overall. I really wanted a pineapple pair, and I'll get one someday, but Luvmybetta had a pair of Yellow & Blue BF DTPK's for just $10 o) and a beautiful Copper Marble HMPK pair for just $25. Of course, I couldn't pass that up!!! I've also heard great things about Jennifer as a breeder, and I have a bunch of tank space that I can't stand to see empty.

I attached pics of the boys... I can't wait to get them! Look for a couple more spawns from me soon!

YAY! You got them! I've been watching that copper marble guy for a looong time, I couldn't believe no one got him yet! And she just lowered the price of that DTPK pair today, apparently trying to make room for new fish that she just got in. I'm getting a few of her bettas too (you can see the ones on hold for me on her site, the marble DTHM and the purdy white PK pair), and was actually thinking of adding one of those two onto it, but I'm glad you're getting them so I'm no longer tempted. Very nice fish they are.

Do you plan on spawning your pairs? If so, I have dibs on a few babies

I have another pair coming from someone else (should get here the same day, or within a day of the luvmybetta fish), they're solid blue HMs, but their father was a GORGEOUS basically perfect steel blue BF DTHM, and their mother was a BF HM. I was going to spawn them with each other because I had given up hope of ever finding a good DT match for one of them in the US... but then I found that gorgeous boy, so I'll be spawning him with the DT geno female. Think it'll be a good match?

It'll be my first ever spawn, so I'm REALLY excited but REALLY nervous too, I'm afraid that after investing so much time and money and energy into this, I'm gonna mess something up.

ANYWAY, haha, I'll also hopefully be spawning the opaque PK pair, not sure when... but you're definitely welcome to babies!! I hope it works out... oy, lol.

She's a great seller and super nice! All of my fish from her have been super healthy and in great shape.

I was looking at that yellow/blue dtpk for a long time but just didn't have room for him. I'm surprised he was on the site for so long!

There is a masked turq hmpk on there right now that I'd kill to have.

Lisie, that sounds like an awesome match! I can't wait to see how the babies turn out, hopefully you'll get plenty of DT's. BF is definitely my favorite Betta pattern... it can be soooo frustrating to get, though. In my last spawn, I had a few juvies with perfect BF patterns. Then, they grew up and the patterns were just way less clean. A BF DTPK would be amazing

Thanks for the nice comments! I really, really can't wait to see them, especially the yellow boy. I am in love with any yellow =) Argh I don't know if I can hold out until next Monday...
