180 Litre Tank ,tetras

Hopefully my tank will be cycled this week coming and i will hopefully be stocking it at the end of the week.Its a Rio 180,running the standard internal(600 l/hr) and an Eheim Pro external filter its the 950 l/hr rated one.

At the Moment i have 5 Cardinal tetras and 6 Black phantom tetras from my other tank to go in.

I would like to add another 10 Cardinals and perhaps 10 Glowlight Tetras.

What else would you Reccomend to go with these.
I want a piecefull and colourfull tank.
The Tank has a large piece of wood and has a selection of Plastic and real plants,floating plants,Java moss and Moss balls.
will also have a pair of Assassin snails in there.

maybe look into Bolivian Rams, or Blue Rams(if u have soft water) as they both are quite gorgeous, and great community tank mates.

I have that exact tank & have school of 16 cardinals in it which only just does them justice.


How about a school of 20+ cardinals? they will look amazing.

I am liking the 20 Cardinal tetra idea.
Will keep the 6 Black phantom tetras,will add 4 more to them.

Thinking either Rams or Kribensis as the other fish.The Bolivian rams are stunning,also the German blue Ram.

Yeah I would say bolivians too, they grow slightly larger than GBRs so they could be your centrepiece pair. Some kribs are nice but can be aggressive when breeding

Have been to the LFS and looked at Bolivian Rams,They are nice.He has more coming in,and will phone me when the new ones arrive.
Will pick a pair and get him to keep them for a week or so and then pick them up.

Have reserved 15 Cradinals and 4 Otos.

Really nice stocking, similar to the type of stocking I have and the fish i like the most. Im really tempted to get cardinals but at £3 each im not sure... Im going to get a pair or trio of Apistos soon, i think you have space for a pair if you are considering more fish but are deviating from kribs

Have been reading about Kribs,Not keen on the agressive behaviour.

I will have 20 Cardinals then.
I also have 6 Phantom Tetras i would like to increase them to about 10/12.
A pair of Bolivian Rams and would like a small shoal of 10/12 Glowlight Tetras.

And a Few Otos to keep things clean.

An Oto on my wood,they are very active little fish.

Few more plants added,and less plastic ones.

Looks fab,love the look of your tank

I have 6 glow lights and they are quite boring (unless its me )I prefer harlequins myself,more active than the glowlights.

Was thinking about a few Glowlight Tetras.Maybe 5 or 6.

Think i need to be carefull,still want a major pair of fish in there yet.
Was thinking about Bolivian Rams,I need something that will swim in the middle/upper part of the tank.

you should try lemon tetras they look nice with their yellow
